Affective Computing: This is a growing field around detecting emotional states with software alone. An interesting experiment was done around this to identify legitmate users from internet con artists. A few additional security questions were asked on a form but, interestingly, the answers were irrelevant. The goal of the extra questions was to keep users on the screen longer so the software could analyze the mannerisms of the user’s mouse movements.
